Our retreat has a unique blend of dry training, static, a depth training, and cold water therapy that will challenge you physically, physiologically, and mentally to improve all aspects of your freediving game.

Your Hosts:

Rachida & Emily

  • Rachida “La Chida '' was born and raised in Montreal, is of Tunisian descent, has traveled around the globe, and finally found her home in El Sargento, BCS. She worked with indigenous communities in the arctic for many years, which has given her a strong sense of community that she has brought with her to Agua Salada. Rachida loves to explore off the beaten path, be on the water (and under), and search for unique local experiences. She loves sharing her love of life with others.

  • Emily is a more fish than woman type of girl. Her salty days started in childhood, spent overturning rocks, discovering starfish, and engaging in lively races with hermit crabs. She began her diving journey through SCUBA diving and experienced what many refer to as "a call to the water". This lead her to explore humanly limits, abandon traditional equipment and embrace the untamed beauty of freediving.

Emily continued to explore her love for the ocean through acquiring a degree in Environmental & Conservation Science and uses this unique background for ocean conservation in the Sea of Cortez and for the local community in combination with instructing freediving.
